Well, we’ve done our part. Organized, painted, promoted, bid and donated. Below is the response from The Nippon Club of the Triangle.
We have received your check yesterday.
We would like to admire your enthusiastic activities to support Tsunami victims and to extend our appreciation for sending us the generous donation.
It has been almost 100 days after hearing heart-breaking/shocking news of the disaster. We know that the victims are still taking hard days to recover although some of basic life lines has restructured. It will take years especially for children to recover from the mental PTSD where we will focus to donate the funds in near future. We will deliver your supportive mind to them as well as the fund you contributed as soon as we decide the NPO in Japan..
Thanks again for everyone’s participation in our event.

Our gratitude goes out to all the bidders, artists and sponsors for helping contribute to a successful event.
The total amount raised through ticket sales, raffle, silent, and live auctions was $967.94 (net of credit card fees). After paying for the 18 kendamas (18 X $15=$270), Kendama Kokoro raised $697.94.
As promised, we’re splitting the donation between Project Kokoro and The Nippon Club of the Triangle.
Thanks again to everyone that helped Kendama Kokoro be a fun and successful event!

Some of the kendamas are open for bidding today. Visit our Artists Page to view a list of kendamas that you can bid on right now!
To win the silent auction, you have to be the highest bidder between now and June 23rd, at 8pm. If you’re highest bid is $100 and the next highest bid is $80, your winning bid will be $81. So bid high, bid often, and well announce winners at the auction on the 23rd and online on the 24th!
Good luck and happy bidding!
